You’ve probably seen the ad for them on the right hand side by now if you’ve visited this site before, but we thought it would be good to introduce them in a post as well: a warm welcome to FreshBooks!
FreshBooks let’s you send out invoices through a great online interface, has a nice API, automatically accept all sorts of payments, etc. etc. etc.! I seriously suggest checking out their tools if you do a lot of invoicing, especially as they are NOT expensive.
When you’re at it, check out the great design of their site… It’s one of the best looking commercial sites I’ve seen in a while.
You can skip to the end and leave a response.

Hey, we’re keeners on the cutting edge of CSS at FreshBooks; in fact, we’re about to release a new version of the interface that is much more CSS clean. As our designer said, adding a DOCTYPE is way harder than it seems. Our research led us to this blog, and thought we’d support the cause. Thanks, Joost for letting us and for the kind introduction.
If you have any questions about why online invoicing is the next greatest thing, I’d be happy to answer them! And if you know anyone who is really struggling with their billing, send them our way, and we’ll do our best to brighten their day.

yes…it bears clarifying that the FreshBooks application was originally designed in January 2003 and back then CSS was not commonly used to the extent and as effectively as it is today. Our website (not the app) has been clean and tidy CSS for a couple years now, but the app is just about to get brought up to the state of the art. For anyone who is interested in more about that, I just wrote the upcoming release here:
