I haven’t seen any official announcement yet, but it seems that KHTML and WebKit are to unfork. According to the linked article – which also provides an interesting history of the two engines – there is a bit of work to be done, such as importing KHTMLs advanced CSS 3 features, before the unforking happens, but it should mean that WebKit gains a lot more active developers, which can only be good news.

sry for ot commenting, but looked here with safari 3.02 (earlier betas weren’t working here) and this site is really much nicer there than e.g. in Opera (my fav).. hope Kestrel will come soon
